Currently only available in California, and only then in certain dispensaries, HI-FI Hops will most likely revolutionise the cannabis industry. That's a little dramatic, don't I think? Absolutely not. One of the biggest industries which are set to lose out when Marijuana becomes more available is of course the brewing industry. If more people are smoking grass, they're less likely to drink a lot of beer. This, alongside tobacco, are most likely to be the biggest loses when cannabis is finely legalised across the world. That is probably the reason behind this 0% alcohol "beer". It's created by Lagunitas, and comes in both THC and CBD formats. It's made using hops, so it still has a hoppy, beer-like flavor, which is also mixed in with the other special ingredient.
Is this the answer for the struggling beer and soda industry? They have been plagued by a general lack of interest in beer by the younger generations, who feel that getting completely smashed all the time isn't actually that fun, nor is it harmless. Beer companies are having to adapt, and this is the latest in a long line of adaptations by the industry. What will be see next? Amber 'Leaf'? Cannabis infused cigarettes? Love it or hate it, cannabis and its uses are becoming more and more well known, and people are shunning traditional forms of having fun, and going back to the magic herb.
